Before his songs were having their way with the top 40 charts, and long before his music videos became overplayed on MTV, Howie Day was a modest singer/songwriter. Traveling all around the country to college campuses and anywhere else that would welcome him, Howie Day graced audiences with his soothing voice, intimate lyrics and calming acoustic sound. As he grew bigger, a part of the intimacy was lost. One way he is regaining the effect he had on his fans is on his new album Live From...EP. Howie Day displays his easygoing style and great talent on this album. While he cushions this album with his well-known song "Collide" as well as other well-known songs from him, the only thing that seems to be missing is his usual sarcastic commentary that is often heard from him onstage. While that is usually a highlight of his live performances, this album still gives the audience a great display of a Howie Day show and it is nice to have something new from this rising star.
