The Leader

The Milwaukee Press Club announced Friday that three Leader staff members won first place in the 2005 Wisconsin Excellence in Journalism Competition.

The winners are:

Joe Ahlers, Best News Story-"Coke bid disqualified for excessive prices; Pepsi signs contract through 2010"

Kyle Zwieg, Best Critical Review of the Arts-"Peace, Love & Truth, Repackaged"

Adam Bergstrom, Best Editorial or Commentary-"The Law and Terri Schiavo"

Martha Boehm, a Leader staff member, also won first place for her work on PantherCast.

The Milwaukee Press Club will present awards on Saturday, April 29 at the Gridiron Awards Dinner.
