Childhood experiences, relationships, a creepy apartment building, and an old mattress can all expose us to negative emotional energy that can trap itself in the aura--the energy that surrounds the physical body. This negative energy can accumulate through life experiences, day-to-day relationships with other people, and past lives, according to intuitive Starclear Psychic Researcher Jeffrey Seelman.

Seelman claims to clear this excess negative emotional energy from the body through his multiple expulsion methods. First, he lights incense--usually frankincense. Next, he rings a bell to break up trapped sound energy that can collect in the aura and body. Jeffrey then begins the clearing. He lightly touches the sides of the head and releases negativity through the feet. He does not ask any personal questions but does take ten minutes at the beginning of the session to talk with the client and get a sense of his or her emotional energy. A complete clearing takes about 50 minutes.

This procedure apparently results in less inner stress and a feeling of lightness. The outcome can occur immediately or take a few hours for the body to set and reposition to greater harmony.

Seelman said he has always had psychic abilities. He saved his friends a lot of trouble when he was young with his ability to feel the presence of the principal or teachers entering the room, he said. He had glimpses of spirits as a young adult and began studying transcendental meditation at 16. After Seelman's service in the Air Force he started to study eastern philosophy and exorcism. Seelman said his psychic ability does not allow him to see into the future, but he is able to clear negative spirits and energy from people and places.

Seelman performs exorcisms and has worked in collaboration with the Catholic Church to rid evil spirits. He has also personally communicated with spirits and can see a person's soul or spirit and has glimpses of the "other side," he said. He still has a sense of determining when trouble is coming and has an inherent ability to read people.

Everyone has some psychic ability and clearings open people up to view the world in a different way, said Seelman. Children in particular have the ability to see spirits, although adults teach them not to think that way.

Seelman does not affiliate himself with any particular religion, but he does have faith in God. He believes in reincarnation and claims to remember pieces of his past lifetimes. Anyone can get a glimpse of their other lives by looking inside themselves, he said.

Seelman does about 70 percent of his business clearing negative energy from people. He works with a variety of clients--people who are abused, moderately depressed, angry, in bad relationships or not feeling like themselves--who want to rid themselves of harmful emotional energies He enjoys the difficult cases because they are the most rewarding. Seelman concentrates on personal clearings as opposed to exorcisms and communicating with spirits because he "wanted to get into the problems of the masses." Jeffrey turns away about nearly 15 percent of potential clients because of emotional instability, severe depression or chemical imbalances.

Seelman said he can only clear negative energy if the person is willing to change. He does not release any positive energy in the aura. Some people require only one clearing while others may need more than one session. Ridding the body of many years of negativity in just one sitting is difficult, he said.

When Seelman clears a house of spirits he does not rid the positive spirits, only the negative, because most spirits--like people--are good, he explained. Apparently, the negative spirits are the ones who do not want to leave because they are afraid to move on to the "other side." Harmful spirits do not injure people physically, but rather emotionally and psychologically by transferring their damaging feeling into human bodies, said Seelman.

UWM is Seelman's favorite school, because although he feels classrooms tend to accumulate negative emotional energy from decades of students inhabiting the rooms, he thinks UWM has a healthy attitude and positive energy.

Seelman believes it is a good idea for college students to get a clearing. Students have "baby fat energy," he said--energy that has accumulated from childhood into the teenage years. He said students pick up this energy from relationships, peers, and negative emotions that often come with attending college. Seelman warns that releasing this type of energy is more difficult as people grow older.

People come away with a positive impression after a clearing, Seelman said. He insists on keeping his prices reasonable to accommodate all those who would benefit from the release of negative energies.
